This one's not on me -- "Don't tax you, don't tax me. Tax that fellow behind the tree."

The AJC has a headline proclaiming "Thurmond backs re-voting in Florida, Michigan," and the article notes that "Thurmond's idea is one that is rapidly gaining admirers."

Sen. Russell Long had a saying about tax reform that seems appropriate here: "Don't tax you, don't tax me. Tax that fellow behind the tree."

The idea is hardly original with Commissioner Thurmond, and having a second vote in these two states is not the problem. The problem is who is going to pay for such.
