More on Gold Dome Contests from the ajc
In the 9-14-04 ajc Nancy Badertscher brings us even more up to date in an article entitled "Parties hustle for edge in races; Democrats and GOP devote time, cash, clout to candidates in battle for control of Legislature."
There is also some further discussion on "the" six metro districts, as in:
"Speaker Terry Coleman (D-Eastman) says success in the House could hinge on six metro Atlanta districts that he said lean Democratic or are split. Democrats say all six districts supported then-Gov. Roy Barnes in 2002 against Perdue."
"Three of the districts are in north DeKalb County and three are in south Gwinnett County. Three are open seats, with no incumbent."
