OK Kerry, this is good what he said; now keep your mouth shut and let him keep talking this way. Do you hear me?

The 9-10-04 ajc reports:

In a harsh new attack on rival John Kerry, President Bush said Friday that if the Democratic presidential candidate "had his way," Saddam Hussein's regime would be running Iraq and threatening the safety of other nations.

UPDATE: Friday was the first time Bush made the accusation that Hussein would still be in power if Kerry's view had prevailed, although Cheney has said it several times. (9-11-04 Washington Post.)
_______________

All right Senator Kerry, I know this runs against your "got to say something even if it is wrong nature," but keep your cool and keep your mouth shut. If I read in a couple of days that you have countered his attack, I, I, I don't know what I will do.

This is Bush's first tactical mistake his advisors have allowed him to make. It says if you had been President, we would not be in Iraq now.

Can you accept this freebie? But his saying it just once won't get it in people's minds. Give him some line now.

Be patient. Use your head. Remember, Rome was not built in a day. You have much undoing to do before you can start doing.

Kerry, if you blow this one . . . .

UPDATE: Saturday: If Bush and Cheney will keep playing the Suddam would still be ruling Iraq card until it gets good and sunk in with the populace, at some point Kerry will have a gotcha issue. Suddam still in power, true; but we wouldn't be, and our fallen American soldiers would still be with us.
