Bring it on baby -- the Albany Herald endorses Ct. of Appeals candidate Bernes

On 8-7-04 the Albany Herald endorsed Court of Appeals' candidate Debra Bernes, noting:

Ms. Bernes' peers expressed their confidence in her in their responses to a survey distributed by the Georgia State Bar. She received the highest number of responses that she was either "well qualified" or "qualified" of all candidates in the nonpartisan race in July. The Atlanta native, who is the mother of two and has been married 23 years, scored more than 13 percentage points above Mike Sheffield, her opponent in the runoff Tuesday. Ms. Bernes would be a strong asset to the state judicial system.
