Louisiana ruling aids poor in court. - Justice rules in home state of Mel & Coffee County's Rajin' Cajun (a little bit anyway).
The Louisiana Supreme Court has ruled that judges can halt the prosecution of poor defendants until there is money available to pay for their defense lawyers, and it scolded lawmakers for not providing a system to defend the indigent.
