Gov. Perdue's signature issue: "Running this government in a more efficient and effective way." - Hawks, courtesy of Bubba's Czar.

Gov. Perdue a few days prior to the storming of Atlanta by the GOP's new Czar:

"I'm very content to have a signature issue of running this government in a more efficient and effective way. That's been our signature issue."

And exactly how, good Governor Sir, should we go about changing the machinery of state government so that it can be run in a more efficient and effective way?

"What I find from everyday citizens is that they . . . want government [to] get out of their way and allow them to live their lives in a way that facilitates the American Dream."

I know this sounds rather general, but just be patient and wait until the General Assembly convenes on January 10. Then we'll provide the specifics of what we mean by "running this government in a more efficient and effective way" and having government get out of the way of voters.

And by the way, and this is just a hint -- and of course you know I was a high school football star and follow Atlanta sports -- have you ever thought about using falcons, I mean hawks, to help government get out of the voters' way?
