I thought Jim Galloway of the ajc's Political Insider was on vacation. Thus the mystery: Who wrote the thumbnail about Zell?
On the front page of many newspapers are captions of articles that appear within. I have heard these referred to both as thumbs, thumbnails, teze, etc. Regardless, for this post, consider that I know what they are called, and that they are called thumbnails. Thus now you can re-read the title of the post.
The first thumbnail on the front page of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution features of photo of a smiling photograph of Zell Miller, and underneath is photo is the headline: Fox snags Zell for TV team.
And then the classic line: "You were thinking maybe CBS would have picked him to succeed Dan Rather?"
I love it.
P.S. I am going to guess that there might be a Charles Gay fingerprint or two on this thumbnail.
