We report, you decide -- Negative advertising

Following our two morning posts that touched on negative advertising at the presidential election level, the Washington Post this afternoon poses the question:

"There are now just 54 days until Election Day. The question is: For America's closely divided electorate, what affect will negative campaigning have on swing voters in particular and on general turnout on November 2? Just how much are American voters willing to tolerate? It seems both presidential campaigns appear intent to find out."
