The AJC's Political Insider reports that Gov. Roy Barnes had the following to say about Rev. Wright as reported in the Marietta Daily Journal:
“Jeremiah Wright has done more in a week to damage Barack Obama’s campaign than Hillary Clinton has in the entire campaign,” Barnes said.
“He frightens me. I’ve been to a lot of black churches over the years and I’ve never heard anything like that. It gives Americans the wrong impression of what goes on in African-American churches. I have found them to be very patriotic. As Condoleezza Rice said: ‘African-Americans loved America when America didn’t love African-Americans.’”

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports that this past Sunday in Columbus, Georgia Ed DuBose of the state of Georgia's NAACP suggested that Wrigth was in the same lineage as the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

I heard another pastor say on Friday that Rev. Wright is indeed smoking something! He's smoking his own press clips! Now that is funny!
