Gingrich: DeLay Shouldn't Resign.
Newt Gingrich said Monday that House Majority Leader Tom DeLay should work “publicly and aggressively” to address allegations of misconduct, but said he shouldn’t resign because of the ethics controversy.
“Tom DeLay should indicate that he will cooperate totally with any ethics investigation,” said Gingrich, the former House speaker. “But I think that until that process is done, it would be very inappropriate and wrong to ask him to step down.”
