Update on "How can people be so heartless; how can people be so cruel; easy to be hard, easy to be cold" post - Gay club may form in White Co. school.

The topic of a 2-26-05 post entitled "Do you remember Three Dog Night's song "Easy To Be Hard?" - I thought about it recently," seems to have worked out for the best.

According to the 3-23-05 AJC, the school system apparently is going to allow a club for gay students and supportive classmates in White County.

Thank goodness for that.

Looks like the goodly Reverend Phelps had about as much influence in the whole ordeal as he should have. Glad to see that.

I'm also glad to see a little bit of tolerance in north Georgia. It's about time.

Let the poor high school kids form their gay/gay support club. It's tough enough for gay teens anyway (especially in White County, Georgia), so it's probably a great idea for them to have some sort of support group type club.

The peer pressure and taunting from classmates will continue to be difficult to manage, I imagine, but hopefully they'll press forward.
