And then there was one (other). - Fowler bows out of race for chairman of DNC.

I have just been informed by a comment on this blog that Fowler has dropped out.

According to the AP, Fowler abandoned his bid for DNC chairman late Friday, as Rosenberg had done earlier in the day as reported yesterday.

Fowler says he is backing Dean, moving Dean closer to capturing the party title.

Fowler, who ran John Kerry's Michigan campaign, said late Friday that "today it became clear that Howard Dean has the votes to become Democratic chairman."
