Kaine quits DNC, enters U.S. Senate race to succeed Virginia’s Webb

James Webb, giving Virginia Democrats a marquee candidate for a race that could help determine control of the U.S. Senate and the political direction of a rapidly evolving state.

Kaine despite being in charge of the left leaning DNC is a strong candidate for dems up in Virginia & with the stae's changing demographics, a win by Kaine is not out of the ordinary. Plus having popular former governor Mark Warner already in the Senate will help Kaine tremendously
