The Valdosta Daily Times tells state employees and teachers: "It could always be worse."
From The Valdosta Daily Times editorial page:
To the teachers and the various other public school system employees who believe they are just too important to be furloughed three non-instructional days. Hundreds of others in the area have lost their jobs entirely to the struggling economy. More have endured monthly furloughs. Nearly everyone has been affected in some way by the recession, some more so than others. Look on the bright side. It’s only three days. You still have a job. It could always be worse.
