Obama's time may be better spent attending campaign rallies in Texas and Ohio than preparing for debates.

Although Hillary has challenged Obama to weekly debates between now and March 4, when Texas and Ohio hold primaries, I agree with The Dallas Morning News that his time may be better spent attending campaign rallies in those states than preparing for debates. Regardless, he has agreed to one debate in Texas and one in Ohio. Texas has some of the most expensive media markets in the country, and this paper writes that "the debates would provide the Clinton campaign, trailing in fundraising, free publicity." The Clinton campaign dismisses that suggestion, saying that if anything, a debate in Texas could work to Sen. Obama's advantage since he currently trails her in polls there.
