Apparently it is now definite: Senate Minority Leader Robert Brown to leave Legislature to run for mayor of Macon.
The AJC's Political Insider reports this as if it is official. Senate Minority Leader Robert Brown will certainly be missed in the Senate.

He will immediately be the odds-on favorite to win the Macon Mayoral race, but I think Robert Reichert may pull a surprise upset. Stat atauned. As for who will replace him as Senate Minority Leader, possible candidates are Tim Golden (d) Valdosta, David Adelman (d) Decatur, Kasim Reed (d) Atlanta, & George Hooks (d) Americus.
