Congratulations to Justin Lewis for past & future service to your party.

In a 1-18-05 post I wrote about the importance of getting youth involved in party affairs, and about the great work that Gunner Hall and others from Savannah are doing for our party.

I noted that not only are our youth our future, they are the present, and a dern important part of our present.

Since such post I have learned from Gunner, an officer of the Young Democrats of Savannah, that the Young Democrats are having their annual convention in Savannah on April 8 - 10. It is going to cost the Savannah chapter a chunk of change to sponsor this, and I hope all of us can chip in to help. More about this later; I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.

My primary purpose of doing this post is to inform all good Georgia Democrats that today Justin Lewis was elected President of the South Georgia College Democrats.

Justin has taken a very active role with the Coffee County Democratic Committee, and his level of interest and involvement at South Georgia College on behalf of the party are reflected in that group's confidence in him.

Congratulations Justin, and here's a toast to having one hellava good year.
