Things are getting nasty on the DeLay business in D.C. But he will survive and thrive. - The GOP's battle cry: "Don't tread on me."
The DeLay mess continues. If you opposed his investigation, and you are in the GOP, you are roadkill.
On a related topic, the Associated Press has reported that prosecutors agreed to drop an illegal campaign contribution charge against Sears, Roebuck and Co. in exchange for its cooperation in an investigation of contributions to a political action committee associated with House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

I don’t know Sid. These charges look pretty serious. Maybe, just maybe, someone will step to the plate like they did with Kerick/karrack/kerik whatshisname. I would expect Bush to rid himself of this guy if he starts to get in the way.
Then again, the pressure to dump Rumsfeld hasn’t had any effect.
Charges are serious. I will address and been planning a short post anyway, but on the survive I meant as "the Hammer" in the House. But even there, where he is cleaning out opposition, and will survive, blood has been drawn. Thus comment did not extend to his legal troubles, and this is why Sears cooperation could be important.
Roger that. Delay's a problem for the country- much too far right- I know you take the charges seriously....Burntorange (liked at my blog) has been folllowing this for a very long time. I'm going to be watching....
