Not all of life's lessons are taught and learned just in the classroom. -- Character and principle are alive and well at Univ. of S.C. and Clemson.
"In an unprecedented move in college athletics, The University of South Carolina and Clemson University jointly announced Monday that their football teams would not accept postseason bowl bids because of Saturday's bench-clearing brawl between the two teams."

P.S. And with respect to precedent, regardless of the winner -- assuming one was recently declared -- I still resent and have no respect for Coach Michael Adams.

Is it your opinion that the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers should similarly decline postseason invites, or is that something that should only be done with college teams?
I'm into college basketball big, and not pro. Thus although out of my league, I would think not. But do I consider the following too severe? No a bit. Ron Artest makes $6,158,000. He stands to lose $4,995,000, and I say bring it on, right on down the list for all involved.
