North Korea: "Six party" vs. "bilateral" talks; plutonium vs. uranium processing -- Know the issues.

One of the substantive surprises of Debate No. 1 was the detailed exchange between Bush and Kerry on the critical but neglected subject of North Korea. Prodded by moderator Jim Lehrer, Mr. Bush touted and Mr. Kerry attacked the current U.S. diplomatic strategy for preventing North Korea from becoming a nuclear weapons power.

Today the Washington Post examines the above is very objective fashion, favoring neither side, sort of what Fox "claims" to do. Knowing this might not cause you to rush and read this hot but sometimes esoteric issue, the real purpose of this post is to tell that this is one in a series of editorials comparing the records and programs of the presidential candidates on important issues.
